Robust growth of the indie-film and online categories (4x in past 10 years in dollars); the number of indie movies having doubled since 2012.
Intellectual property (IP) is becoming increasingly valuable with mass distribution available through an expanding number of channels, with myriad recurring monetization opportunities in the non-fungible token (‘NFT’) space.
Online network channel growth warrants a greater proportion of pre-sales for each film thereby lowering the risk to equity investors.
Increasing availability of financial and ‘big-data’ makes a quantitative approach to fund management in this asset class feasible.

AREA OF FOCUS
The Inspire Media Fund focuses on financing the production of slates of feature films, television series and media and ownership of related IP.
The Fund provides equity and debt investments in individual film projects (collateralized). Specific set of criteria are to be satisfied by each deal.

Return potential to ‘vanity susceptible project’ risks with investors often “paying up” to gain red carpet exposure and EP credits.
Hollywood accounting is particularly complex and opaque, making it difficult to monitor and enforce investment.
